I love,love it love it and I love you Denise Linn for creating this card deck.This card deck has got to be my favorite card deck of hers and thinking about doing a card reading for people combining this card deck with my Medicine Women Tarot card deck one of these days because both card decks are great.The cards in this card deck having mostly scenic pictures which have in it various forms of mountains,forests, waterfalls deserts and more.There are also various native american symbols and animals such as a peace pipe,medicine bag,thunder drum,an owel,a bear,a fox and more all displayed very beautifully in the cards.Also I am very inspired about the many ways they show the sky in each card as well you see morning,afternoon and evening skies and various season are also seen in this card deck as well and some people.Various forms of the earth and animals are seen in this card deck.I think this would be a perfect deck for my friend Tom who likes to hike.The wording on the cards including Spirtkeeper Of The North,Spirit Keeper Of The West,Eagle,Offerings,Elder Medicine Woman/Men and more.This card deck is the best Native American card deck that I have seen by far and very happy I decided to get it.Update May 17Contiueing to love,love love,this card deck and finding that friends of mine responsed very powerful to this card deck.I have decided to get this card deck for my friend Tom. for Christmas.He likes the book The Quest and as a hiker really loves the scenary in the cards.I am also going to give him Denise's book on Symbols.My friend David who I show various card decks to loved it.He likes most of the cards he saw and wanting to see the rest of the deck the day after I showed him most of the card deck.This is the first and only time he liked a card deck that I showed him and couldn't wait to see the rest of it.He also mentioned a grandmother of his had a Native American school.And part of an Indian Tribe don't remember which one though.This card deck is very powerful and special card deck and people take notice.

I'm in love with these cards. Since using them in my morning routine magic seems to be unfolding even more in my life. Most noticeable were unexpected opportunities for healings with my ancestors, and more connection with my animal guides. I own many card decks - all powerful in their own way - but I connected with these in a especially powerful way.

I was a bit skeptical at first but bought these knowing I could pass them on if I found them not personally helpful. I won't be passing these on! They are very helpful in my meditations and the photos are beautiful. The quality of the paper they are made of will allow them to last decades, and my grandchildren can also play with them, inspiring conversations about the Native world.

The author put a lot of love into this deck and accompanying guide. The illustrations/photos are breathtaking. She instructs the reader to interpret on their own before referring to her guide which teaches the reader to use their intuition and feeling first. Well done!

Gorgeous energy! I have several decks and I am very selective. I felt the energy of Denise's deck just looking at it online and I feel the strong connection as I am starting to work with them. Pics are very pretty - large and simple formats, and simple wording on each card, but the book does provide a bit more in interpretations. You receive "Card meaning" info, "Your Native Spirit Wants You to Know" info, and "The Journey" info for each card. Thank you, Denise, for providing a tool to deepen my path knowledge.

I must have been living under a rock when Molly Bloom’s story came out because it wasn’t until I saw the movie Molly’s Game that I heard about her. Then I came straight home and read her book MOLLY’S GAME: THE TRUE STORY OF THE 26-YEAR OLD WOMAN BEHIND THE MOST EXCLUSIVE, HIGH-STAKES UNDERGROUND POKER GAME IN THE WORLD like my life depended on it. Ok, wow. Molly’s got game and then some. Here is what I can tell you because, no spoilers. Plus, Molly is the storyteller here.Molly comes from a family of high achievers. She is no slouch. A champion skier, brains to match, fresh out of college with plans to attend law school. She has been on the go since she was a little girl and wants a break in between. Her parents don’t agree. She heads to LA, on her own, and lands jobs to pay the bills that lead to her first poker game with the big boys and she likes what she sees. Molly is not a gambler, nor does she have any interest in the game. It is all about the connections and she knows an opportunity for a legitimate business is looking right at her.With equal parts passion and drive, Molly achieves more than she imagined. Then things came to a crashing halt. Find out what happens after that. I have much respect for her. She is protective of people, to a fault, and most likely you will come away from the book, with a very, very bad taste for some people, who are named. As Molly tells her story, you will be turning pages as fast as a dealer pitches cards in the air.

Saw the movie before reading the book. I must say that as usual, I should have read the book first then see the movie. Nevertheless, the book is much better and gave more details and actual people than the movie. Jessica Chastain is a great actress. Her body of work is a testament to her talent. All in all, the book written by the actual Molly Bloom is a joy to read. I learned a bit about poker but really, I don’t gamble so it’s for knowledge only.

Molly’s Game by Molly Bloom is, from the author’s point of view, a true account of one woman’s remarkable ability to see opportunity and innovatively carve her own empire out of a niche previously dominated by males. Many of the males were hustlers, conmen, professional poker players, and members of criminal enterprises such as the Mafia or the Russian Mob. While male members of the mentioned groups all seem to have shadowy or incomplete backgrounds with little regard for anything described as a moral compass, Bloom decided to take a higher road. She did not employ criminal enforcers to collect a player debt. She did not resort to vicious gossip strategies to destroy the reputations of reluctant payers. She took a more relaxed, feminine approach. She simply cut off their rights to play. Sounds like a stern Mommy figure.Why should she be telling the truth in this novel? We don’t completely know that she is but we have indications that lead one to believe what she has said/written is the truth. Without an independent investigation, we might never know if some things were left out. Lying by omission is still lying. This is a work of non-fiction. There are names of high-profile celebrities, sports figures, and wealthy businessmen which can aid those who want to investigate further to corroborate or refute information Bloom claims. For me, Bloom’s credibility rings true after a look at the final plea agreement and sentence imposed. Some in the judicial system believed her because the only jail time Bloom served after initial arrest was while she was waiting for bail to be posted.Many people do not realize that in a nation with fifty states and a federal system there are at least fifty-one systems of law that cover different activities, in this case, gambling. Violation of federal rules brings a suspect into a federal court anywhere in the United States. A person can violate State law and be brought into State court but there are fifty different standards which are why lawyers pass State licensing requirements. Bloom consulted lawyers and was careful not to violate laws against illegal gambling. She did not take a portion of winnings (gambling term: “the rake”). She did not charge management fees. Those kinds of things might be illegal. She did, however, accept gifts or tips. Essentially, Molly Bloom was an event organizer.Bloom does not write of her plea bargain as far as probation, community service, or fines. For that, go to Wikipedia and the sources listed at the bottom of the Wikipedia page. As with others who deal in vast sums of cash money (millions) Bloom seems to have attracted the notice of the IRS. The fine levied against her was small compared to the cash flow she indicates took place during her event organizing. Any account of dealing with the IRS belongs in my favorite genre: Horror.Bloom recounts her childhood in a family of superstars, super performers, and a controlling, demanding father. Molly claims that she just wanted to be acknowledged as being good in her own right. Placing on an Olympic Ski team might seem worthy of accolades. This memoir reveals that her accomplishment, after recovering from serious disabling surgery such that doctors said she could not do what she in fact accomplished, did not garner the positive reinforcement she desired. She decided to listen to a different drummer.I found her story amazing. There is no course or set of instructions she could follow to accomplish what she did. It was personal bravado, persistence, and chutzpah that allowed her to succeed. What brought her down was a combination of petty jealousy and true criminal activity on the part of some of her acquaintances. She was truly judged on the basis of the company she kept. I gave this four Amazon stars.

Absolutely loved this book. I saw the movie first with my family and we all left the theatre completely obsessed with Molly Bloom. We spent the entire dinner afterwards reading her entire Wikipedia page and that night I bought the book on kindle. I wholeheartedly recommend this book - it was an incredible story full of power dynamics and strong boss ladies. It's impossibly to not become fully engrossed in Molly Bloom's story!

Molly's Game was an easy and interesting read about Molly's unexpected but skillfully managed rise to the top of the private poker world in LA and NYC. The book's title however should have instead been Molly's Cautionary Tale since it was very apparent that Molly put herself in the middle of a world of greed and materialism where she was in way over her head and very fortunate to have survived with her life (although almost didn't!). In doing so she sold her soul and ultimately became consumed by greed and materialism. The FBI indirectly did her a huge favor by pulling her out of the middle of a world where it was destined to not end well for Molly. Hopefully this will serve as a major wake up call for Molly so she can now use her considerable talents to do good in the community as an executive director for a non-profit organization serving the disenfranchised rather than wasting her time managing poker games for the morally bankrupt rich and famous.

Kindergarten-Grade 3–Jacob, a rich man, always falls asleep in synagogue, but one day he wakes up just in time to hear the words of Leviticus read: ‘You shall bake twelve loaves of challah, and set them before Me in two rows, six in each row.' He is certain that God is talking directly to him, so he hurries home and quickly bakes 12 loaves of bread. He brings them to the synagogue and places them in the Holy Ark. David, the poor caretaker, discovers the loaves and believes that they were sent from God to answer his prayers for food to feed his family. Over the years, Jacob's giving and David's receiving become routine. When the rabbi discovers the two men and reveals to them what has been happening, they both learn how their hands have become God's hand in creating a miracle. Based on a traditional folktale, Kushner and Schmidt's retelling is greatly enhanced by Baek's detailed illustrations in deep blues and earth colors. Kushner, who has written many books for children and adults, teams with Schmidt, whose Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy was both a 2005 Newbery and Printz Honor Book, to create a meaningful tale that will open children's eyes to the ways in which one can become God's hands on earth. Jacob is rich, and much too busy thinking about money to consider miracles. David is poor; feeding his children takes precedence over miracles. One day, Jacob hears a Torah verse: Make 12 loaves and set them before Me. Jacob bakes the loaves and puts them in the ark with the Torah scrolls. That very day, David comes to the synagogue, pleading to God for food for his family; he opens the ark and finds the bread. When Jacob returns to the synagogue, the bread is gone. Both men think God performed a miracle. After months of giving and receiving, they learn the truth. At first they are disappointed, but their rabbi makes them understand that on earth God's miracles often come through His people. This lovely piece of bookmaking combines a good tale with a strong, easily understood message. Baek's artwork, set against buff-colored pages and highlighted in shades of blue, uses a variety of angles, placements, and design elements to invite interest. A great discussion starter. Joseph Turow, called by the "New York Times" "probably the reigning academic expert on media fragmentation," is Robert Lewis Shayon Professor and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania.
